Oklahoma County does not replace the city as the permitting authority for incorporated Oklahoma City addresses. Properties outside the city limits may follow a different county or state-administered path, so verify the jurisdiction before applying.

Applications, planning cases, permit records, and inspection requests are available through the official Accela Citizen Access portal. The city says an account is not required for some record searches, while applications for most permits and inspections require an account. Keep the approved plans and permit information available at the job site.

After permit issuance, use the city’s inspection page or portal to review the required inspection list and schedule building, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing inspections. Oklahoma City zoning, plan review, and code compliance

Development Services coordinates plan review against applicable land-use codes, building regulations, and city ordinances. Use the portal’s planning and subdivision/zoning search tools for public records, but confirm zoning questions with the Development Center before relying on a search result for a new use, addition, accessory structure, or change of occupancy.
